This vacancy is for a female, Christian volunteer with a car.
Commitment: Fortnightly or monthly, ad-hoc days as per your availability.
Responsibilities may include things like:
- Completing a referral to another charity or organisation, for support for an asylum seeker or refugee who attends our groups.
- Collecting household items or other practical-needs items from specified places (e.g. collecting Baby Basics referral items) and delivering them to the relevant recipients.
- Bringing someone to a clothes bank appointment.
- Accompanying someone to an appointment with another local charity.
- Supporting someone to figure out a situation relating to housing, energy providers, Internet access, or similar.
- Supporting someone to register at their local GP, or at a Library or local group.
Volunteers applying to this role must be willing to agree to comply with all of Thrive Leicester’s policies and procedures, and have an up-to-date DBS check, and sign a Volunteer Agreement form. They must also be in full agreement with our vision and abide by our values, and agree with our statement of faith.
