This vacancy is for a female, Christian volunteer.
Commitment: 1-2 hours per week, at a mutually agreed time.
Responsibilities:
- Meeting informally once a week with an individual who wants help practicing English.
- Discussing mutually agreed topics, and preparing conversation questions in advance.
- Informally correcting their English in a gentle and non-judgmental manner.
- Liaising with the wider Thrive team and other volunteers when appropriate.
It is not required that the volunteer has English teaching experience or a TEFL qualification.
Volunteers applying to this role must be willing to agree to comply with all of Thrive Leicester’s policies and procedures, and have an up-to-date DBS check, and sign a Volunteer Agreement form. They must also be in full agreement with our vision and abide by our values, and agree with our statement of faith.
