English Teaching

This vacancy is for a female, Christian volunteer. 

Commitment: Weekly or fortnightly, on Wednesdays 11:30-1pm. 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing resources for an informal English class or conversation practice group.
  • Arriving 30 minutes early to prepare the space for the session (11:30am).
  • Teaching/leading the class, either alone or alongside another volunteer (12-1pm).
  • Liaising with the wider Thrive team and other volunteers when appropriate.

It is preferable, but not essential, that the volunteer has English teaching experience or a TEFL qualification.

Volunteers applying to this role must be willing to agree to comply with all of Thrive Leicester’s policies and procedures, and have an up-to-date DBS check, and sign a Volunteer Agreement form. They must also be in full agreement with our vision and abide by our values, and agree with our statement of faith.
